SPORTS NUTRITION
Proper nutrition is key to successful training and racing. It is not only what to eat when but also making sure you are meeting your energy needs to prevent setbacks like illnesses and injuries. My education and certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine have helped me learn about this key component of a runner’s training, but the scope of practice that comes with those certifications limits the specifics that I can provide to you.
I have a former client, Kate, who is now a Sports Dietitian and therefore has the necessary credentials to provide you with thorough and individualized nutrition counseling. Kate Daley ran the 3200-meter race in high school and was the Class M Outdoor State Champion during her junior year. She went on to run cross-country and track at the University of Connecticut and is now a registered dietitian conducting virtual sports nutrition counseling with athletes across the US.
Please contact Kate to discuss your training and race-day nutrition.
